Antique Japanese Chrimen Silk kimono robe, Purple with Kiku Flower design #138

This beautiful silk kimono is made of high-quality Chrimen silk. Chirimen silk is characterized by its crêpe-like texture, which is created through a special weaving technique. The surface is slightly bumpy or grainy, giving it a distinct feel.

This chrimen silk robe is from the late Taisho to Early Showa period.

Condition: Very good

There are some small frays on the back and sleeves. Also, there is some discoloration overall due to the age of this kimono. This kimono would be a wearable antique kimono and is great for use as a textile for your craft project or as a display piece.
